General Summary of Position:Operates diagnostic equipment to produce computerized axial tomographic scan (CT) images of internal organs for use by professional personnel. Explains process to patients and interviews for medical history. Instructs and assists patients in assuming positions for proper scan, and administers contrast media (IV, oral, rectal and PO) according to protocols.Education:Associates degree or one to three years formal training in Radiologic Technology is required.
