cFocus Software is seeking an Unified Communications (UC) Architect to support DISA DEOS in Fort Meade, MD. This position is currently remote.Required Qualifications:Active DoD Top Secret clearance IAT Level II Certification Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fieldMust possess prior experience as a Network Operations Engineer and/or a UC Engineer.8+ years of Network Engineering experience to include 3+ years of Cloud Service experience; additional experience / certifications may be considered in place of education.Networking expertise (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VOIP, SSL, VPN, network topology, firewall).Expertise of information technology principles, methods, and techniques as well as knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time and in challenging situations.Able to report onsite as indicated aboveDuties:This role will partner closely with senior level leaders and technologists around the long-range architecture, strategy, and roadmap.This role will focus on the following technology areas; web conferencing, video conferencing, audio conferencing, IM/persistent chat, email, fax, compliance archiving, e-discovery, and conference room technologies as part of delivering an effective Unified Communications strategy. The UC Architect will provide architectural design support for UC solutions with the development, design, integration, and implementation of large enterprise solutions. This role requires a solid background in networking (routing/switching/gateway management) to support a very diverse and complex network to include remediation, services monitoring and troubleshooting, deployment planning, coordination, and implementation, development and modification of project plans, standard processes, advanced desktop and infrastructure troubleshooting and superior customer service skills. The UC Architect also performs quality assurance checks of the UC telecommunications design and development, is responsible for the design, deployment and support of voice and video network components, servers, and end user peripherals across a very large and diverse network, provides UC engineering functions associated with planning, testing, analyzing, implementation, operation, and maintenance of all voice applications.At cFocus Software, we take good care of our employees!!
