Please make sure work history and education are added correctly.Job SummaryCharles River Laboratories is seeking a Histology Technician 2 for our Histology Team within our Fredrick, MD site.*This is an on-call/as-needed position*The following are responsibilities related to the Histology Technician 2:Perform basic histology procedures independently (trimming, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, coverslipping).Assist with and perform advanced histology procedures (slide QC, special stains, thin/thick sections, IHC, serial/step sectioning).Review lab documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and study specific requirements.Assist in preparation of responses, deviations, and other documentation resulting from internal and external reviews and/or audits.Job QualificationsBachelors degree or Equivalent Experience in biological science preferred plus 2 years of pathology laboratory experience required.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.HT or HTL preferred.IMPORTANT: A resume is required to be considered for this position.
