Central Research, Inc. (CRI) is seeking a Financial Analyst III to support our Federal client in Herndon, VA. The Financial Analyst III will provide full life cycle acquisition and procurement support for the shared services business center offering acquisition services internally and for other federal agencies.Responsibilities & Duties:Extract, review and analyze alpha numerical information such as monthly expense statements and other reports and analysesDetermine all tasks are properly processed and that total activity agrees with pre-determined controlsProvide analyses of financial data, identify problems, recommend solutions, and review the work of others for accuracy and completenessUtilize knowledge of theories and principles of business management and administration to support related information and systems within organizational programsUse independent judgment to create, edit, resolve, or escalate incidents as needed while conforming to internal systems and policesDevelop informational material and other documents for "work-arounds"A' or problems that may occurReview and process client invoices and create sales orders and purchase requests in automated systemsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeSubstitution of one year of experience for each year of required education is allowedThree years of specific governmental accounting, business management or budget experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsUS citizenship or a minimum of 3 years of lawful permanent residence in the US required per the contractAbility to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearancePreferred Qualifications:Knowledge and skill providing financial support for acquisition and grants personnel and interpreting financial management policy, accounting, and reporting regulationsFamiliarity with FBMS or other government financial reporting systems to include tracking obligations and commitmentsBasic knowledge of government contractsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong attention to detail is requiredAbility to support business management or financial process functions or systemsExperience should demonstrate an ability to extract, review, and analyze alpha numerical information for various functions to prepare reports, analyses, complete assigned task or make recommendationsAbility to determine all tasks are properly processed and that total activity agrees with pre-determined control totalsAbility to organize and manage multiple tasks congruently, analyze and prepare recurring, special, or ad-hoc reportsDemonstrated experience providing necessary adjustment actions by identifying and determining the source of processing deficiencies, and making recommendation for corrective proceduresAbility to create, review and process client invoices and review accuracy of othersAbility to provide senior level work for administration, business management or financial process functions or financial, business and accounting systemsAbility to create and process sales orders, purchase requests and contracting documents as needed, and to prepare business or financial briefings, documentation, and reportsAs permitted by applicable law, CRI employees must provide evidence of the full COVID-19 vaccination as defined by CDC guidelines OR secure approval of medical or religious accommodation for the vaccination mandate.Equal Opportunity Employer:Central Research is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
