Participate in the documentation of all activities as required.We are seeking a Histology Technician I for our Safety Assessment site located in Frederick, MD.The following are responsibilities related to the Histology Technician I:Assist with and perform basic histology procedures (trimming, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and coverslipping).Review documentation of functions performed as part of quality control requirements.The following are minimum qualifications related to the Histology Technician I position:Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent in a biological science preferred.Experience: 1 year of laboratory experience.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.Other: Must be able to perform effectively as a team member, accurately record data, follow verbal and written instructions, maintain a positive work atmosphere, communicate effectively, and interact in a professional manner with management, coworkers, and sponsors.About Safety AssessmentCharles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance.
