Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets.Description of Work:As a Cyber Software Engineer in a DevOps environment you will develop, maintain and enhance large Cloud based systems, create and support end-to-end automated CI/CD pipelines and use a variety of monitoring tools. Work may be done independently or as part of a team. Full Software Development Life Cycle and Agile best practices are followed with an emphasis on auto mated testing, detailed documentation and security compliance. Primary development will be in Java with additional skills needed as required.Educational / Years of experience required: BS Degree in a STEM field is required. An additional 4 years of experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted in lieu of degree.Core Competencies:5 years experience with Java ProgrammingLinux fundamentals and knowledge in at least one scripting language (eg bash, python, perl)Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI w/PolygraphWillingness to Support/Learn:High Level programming languages such as : C, C++, C#, RExperience with source code management practices and toolsEnabling tools: Git, Maven, JiraAgile Development experienceMicroservices software development and container orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, etcProgramming for distributed system to include experience in networking and multi-threadingApache Hadoop, Accumulo, NiFiDistributed databases such as: NoSQL, Mongo, OracleContinuous Integration / Testing / Deployme nt: Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab CI/PipelinesContinuous Monitoring: ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), Nagios#AJ2021
