The candidate must be familiar with the Army and DoD standards - guiding the development of Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN) architecture, including implementation of the physical network underlying these systems. The candidate needs to be familiar with Tactical Network Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) systems to include satellite communications (SATCOM). The candidate will serve as subject matter expert to support the products, technologies and ongoing efforts within the PM TN portfolio to design and build a reliable network to support critical missions. The candidate will work with SMEs, customers, and users to learn the goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. The candidate will support the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network, from resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting hardware acquisition. The candidate must have experience supporting and running engineering working groups and IPTs. The candidate will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to complex problems and work without considerable direction. The candidate must be familiar with the commercial SATCOM industry, to include multi-orbit (LEO/MEO/GEO), for increased use and integration by the Tactical Army. The candidate will be responsible for understanding Electronic Warfare (EW) threats against the systems under management. The candidate will coordinate systems engineering efforts to include prioritizing projects and tasks and work with system integrators. The candidate will provide technical support in all PM TN equipment labs to support integration of PM TN products.
