SummaryLidl US is seeking a Sr. Sales & Use Tax Analyst who will assist management in ensuring compliance with all state and local tax laws, statutory notices, and orders. The role efficiently and accurately produces sales & use tax-related information and prepares reports for taxation authorities at the state, county, and local levels in a timely manner. In addition, the Senior Analyst assists in the advisement of management on the tax impact of various corporate strategies. Responsibilities may also include assisting with tangible personal property, income, and capital-based taxes when needed.What You'll DoCoordinate and review the preparation of sales & use tax returns, use tax accruals, notifications, registrations, and other sales & use tax-related activitiesCoordinate, review, and update analyses, schedules, reconciliations, and disclosures for sales and use tax reportingEnsure correct archiving of sales and use tax filings and related documentation as predicated by applicable business and tax legislationReview items and transactions for tax implicationsAssist with tax-planning strategiesWhat You'll NeedBS/BA in Finance, Tax, Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field1 - 3 years of experience in the area of Sales and Use taxes in a multi-state environmentAbility to multi-task and be proactive in a fast-paced environmentDetail oriented with strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detailAbility to interact with a variety of colleagues and senior managementExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and quantitative abilitiesStrong understanding of Microsoft Office platformCPA or Certified Member of the Institute CMI PreferredExperience with Vertex or other sales and use tax determination software PreferredExperience with sales and use taxes in a retail environment PreferredExperience working in public accounting or large corporate environment PreferredWhat You'll ReceiveAt Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.
