Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Position Summary:Northrop Grumman Missions Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated and creative power electronics engineers to support product development and R&D activities. This candidate must be a strong team participant, have excellent communications skills, and be resourceful and multi-talented. Technically, this candidate must be capable of design and analysis of power conversion equipment ranging from 10s of watts to multi-megawatt converters for shipboard and/or ground-based combat platforms. Implementation will involve advanced power conversion technology employing high frequency PWM, multi-level architectures, high speed communications and digital and analog controls. Modeling and simulation for power stages (including associated transformers, input/output filters, dynamic loads, switching devices). Other tasks would include the design of gate drives, protection circuits, I/O interface circuits and control hardware associated with the power stage. This position is located in Sykesville, MD at the Power/Control Systems campus.T2 Basic Qualifications:B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience or MS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 0 years relevant industry experience.Experience applying Electrical Engineering principles to analog circuitsStandard MS Office software, eg MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPointU.S. Citizenship only and ability to obtain a DOD security clearanceT2 Preferred Qualifications:MSEE in power electronics engineeringExperience designing power conversion hardwareExperience using Saber or Simulink for modeling and simulation of circuitsExperience testing power conversion hardwareT3 Basic Qualifications:B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience or MS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.Experience applying Electrical Engineering principles to design power conditioning equipment associated with power supplies, variable speed drives, frequency converters or multi-level converters.Standard MS Office software, eg MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPointU.S. Citizenship only and ability to obtain a DOD security clearanceT3 Preferred Qualifications:MSEE in power electronics engineeringExperience designing controls for power conversion hardwareExperience using Saber or Simulink for modeling and simulation of circuitsExperience integrating new power conversion hardwareSalary Range: 78600 - 118000Salary Range 2: 96900 - 145300Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
