The Director of Banquets is responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling and execution of food and beverage service for Club functions, Club events and Member parties. Train, develop and lead Team Members and assure the service needs of the Club Members and Quests are consistently exceeded.Congressional Country Club is looking for Team Members that believe the impossible is possible. Driven to continuously make a positive impact on the organization and believe that as a team we accomplish more.Note: CCC is currently following the State of MD Covid Mandates currently in place.What will be expected of you:Interacts closely with the Director of Catering and others to ensure that proper set up arrangements and special requirements are attained for each event and meet Club standards.Consults with the Director of Food & Beverage and Director of Catering, Banquet Chef and Executive Chef and other applicable Club administrators to help ensure the highest level of Member satisfaction.Responsible for the execution of all Banquet events.Assists in posting of daily room schedules and assignments.Ensures that the BEO's are posted for the staff daily and that staff has been given the proper direction to execute an event.Greets guests and oversees actual service constantly.Addresses Member and guest's complaints and informs the Director of Food & Beverage and Director of Catering about appropriate corrective actions taken.Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards are consistently met.Assists in managing the long-range staffing needs of the department.Executes the service of menus proposed by the Executive Chef for all Club events, Club functions, member parties and special events.Assists in establishing quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the department.Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages.Assists in maintaining food and beverage personnel records.Ensures correct handling procedures to minimize china and glassware breakage and food waste.Assists in the planning and implementing procedures for special Club events and banquet functions.Maintains appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities.Monitors and enforces employee dress codes according to policies and procedures.Responsible for the proper accounting and reconciliation of the Point of Sale systems and member revenues.Audits and approves employee payroll daily and processes payroll reports.How we determine your qualifications:Five years of catering/banquet management experience in luxury or high-end service establishment, requiredP&L management abilities, workingHigh attention to detailContinuously looking to innovate and stay ahead of industry trendsBenefits:This is a Full Time PositionComplementary mealsComplementary parkingHealth, Dental & Vision Insurance (Available for Full and Part Time Team Members)401K with matchEmployee Discounts Golf, Tennis, Fitness Apparel/ItemsCCC is an EOE
