We iterate and deliver quickly - in the course of weeks or months, not years - and we've trained more than 1,000 people, deployed to over 50 countries, and managed systems with more than 2,000 end users.Job DescriptionWe are looking to hire a Director of Capture and Proposal Management to lead the pursuit of new opportunities with US government clients. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the clients' mission requirements and their in-house capabilities and areas where technological support will enhance their chance for mission success. This position reports to Ridgeline's Chief Operating Officer.In this role, you will manage the capture and proposal process for two to three medium-large pursuits at any one time. In conjunction with Ridgeline program managers and subject matter experts, you will use your prior experience and business acumen to define winning pursuit strategies, shape new opportunities with clients, develop capture plans and win themes, and lead the proposal process through final submission. You will also help prepare Ridgeline's operations and technology teams to execute each project post-award.What You Will DoCoordinate meetings with clients and teaming partners to develop market insights on requirements, acquisition strategies, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle optionsCreate plans to obtain an understanding of client requirements, issues, and needs during the shaping and capture phases of opportunity developmentStrategize and identify win themes and price-to-win activities aligned with client requirementsManage and lead all capture and proposal activities, including planning sessions, competitor analyses (black-hat), solutions architecture, color team (milestone) reviews, and pre-award preparationOversee proposal team during proposal production, accountable for color-team reviews, proposal compliance, proposal schedule and final delivery of each proposalDirect management of technical writer, graphic designer, and proposal coordinator; indirect management of matrixed technical and program management staff for specific proposal effortsAuthor various sections of proposalsCoordinate and co-author white papers, market survey responses, and proposal documentsBrief senior leadership on progress for ongoing capture plans and activitiesWhat You Will Achieve In The First Six MonthsFamiliarize yourself with Ridgeline's services, technologies, and overall strategy and capabilitiesConnect these capabilities to client requirements in key marketsCreate and implement capture plans for two to three new opportunities QualificationsActive Top Secret security clearanceFive years of experience and a successful track record of leading medium-sized capture efforts Deep understanding of key government client mission requirements and buying preferencesExcellent leadership skills; ability to build and lead matrixed teamsExperience building teams that meet client requirements and increase win probabilityExperience shaping acquisitions with new and existing clientsExcellent writing and editing skillsNice-to-havesStrong understanding of technology, preferably with a working knowledge of secure communications and digital signature management hardware and softwareBachelor's degree or higher in a business or technology-related fieldExperience leading capture efforts with total contract values between $10M and $50MAn ability to relate business concepts and plans to their associated financial outcomesUnderstanding of corporate, indirect rates and LOE/BOE developmentPhysical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly work with computers and other office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations-the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across the office for various needs.
