Description My client, is a $40M non-profit whose revenues are largely derived from government contracts. The mission surrounds the advocacy for the youth. They are currently interviewing for a CFO. As a key member of the Management Team the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports to the president and is responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of the organization and serves as a strategic thought partner in guiding the organization through opportunities and challenges. The CFO oversees a 9-person finance and accounting team and partners leaders across the organization to guide financial decisions on over 150 active projects to help ensure the overall success of the organization, supporting its mission, vision, and values. This position is an opportunity for someone with expertise in finance and accounting to lead a dedicated team of nine professionals to manage systems and supports for the organization. The successful candidate will bring a systems-building and collaborative approach, have extensive experience with government contracting and foundation grants, and bring a growth mindset. Equity must be at the center of this leader'Microsoft approach, and they must prioritize open communication and value transparency. Requirements Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have all the skills necessary to achieve the objectives, likely to include the following criteria. We encourage people who may not meet all the criteria, but still have the knowledge and skills to excel in the job to apply. . 8-10+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience within an organization of at least $20 million in annual revenues. . Extensive experience with federal and state government contracts and grants and with foundation grants. . Experience with multi-cost center project accounting and cost allocation, GAAP, internal controls. . Proven ability to oversee a clean audit. . Experience successfully managing a team of financial professionals. . Excellent references, including leadership, direct reports, and internal and external clients. . Bachelor'Microsoft degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA and/or CMA or MBA preferred but not required.
