The Role We have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join our growing DSI team! We are committed to employee satisfaction through our benefits program and a friendly, team-based culture.Your ResponsibilitiesHands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switchesServe as the level 2 and some level 3 escalation point to troubleshoot issues and guide NOC technicians Proven experience with Solar winds Orion, NPM, NCM and ServiceNowProven experience working / managing Cisco 9K Switches, Firewalls, Cisco Prime and experience of the SOCResponsible for guiding the NOC team to troubleshoot issues, and serving as the first escalation point from NOC technicians to troubleshoot problem areas, before involving the level 3 senior engineersAble to work with Cisco TAC team to resolve all issues, and provide relevant information related to problem setsMinimum of level 2 knowledge of Cisco routing and switching and wireless APs Responsible for handling fault management escalations from the NOC Team, peer-to-peer vendor escalations, and on call escalation dutiesWork with Network Operation Managers, Network Engineers, and multiple departments to proactively resolve network and customer issuesManage day to day functions and support of the NOC Team to include incident tickets, escalations, and shift schedulingMonitor ticket queues, change management events, phone queues, and fault management systems hourly, making sure that the network and the NOC Team are functioning at an optimal levelProvide leadership, supervision, and periodic performance reviews to direct reportsDevelop and maintain procedures, policies, and standards for the NOC TeamWhat You Need For This RoleBachelor's Degree in a technical field preferredDemonstrated experience using support/helpdesk ticketing systems and meeting SLA targetsStrong technical knowledge in the areas of networking (TCP/IP), Static routing, and dynamic Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSFP, BGP), IP addressing, DNS's and IP-VPN'sPossess solid verbal and written presentation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in MS OfficeExcellent communication skills are required, both written and oralHighly energetic and a self-starter Strong Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skillsResults driven and detail-oriented Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skillsDemonstrate a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of conducting businessDemonstrated credibility in customer and team interactionsWhat Sets You ApartCCNA or CCNP CertificationProven experience managing, supporting, and leading a team of NOC EngineersDSI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
