Government Business Development ManagerFairfax, VAMANDEX currently has a need for a Government Business Development (BD) Manager to join our team in Fairfax, VA. The BD Manager is responsible for leading the sales strategy to all potential federal government clients.Responsibilities include:Identifying, developing, and pursuing Federal Government contract opportunities under a variety of contract vehicles, including large, multi-award IDIQs.Building, developing, and managing trusted relationships with key agency decision makers and executives to promote MANDEX, Inc. and position the Company to pursue and win opportunities.Managing all business development efforts of MANDEX, Inc., while leading efforts to understand ongoing customer requirements and capture follow-on business.Demonstrating an excellent understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations, applicable state and local acquisition regulations and industry-specific matters to ensure accurate and effective communication with prospective and current customers.Creating and deliver effective client presentations and proposals that address the specific needs of a client.Developing and executing business development plans and coordinating business development efforts with the executive leadership team to achieve sales and revenue targets.Developing and managing a high-quality, detailed sales pipeline for year-to-year growth.Developing the marketing strategy and actively participating in industry events for customer relationship building.Identifying teaming opportunities with other contractors with complementary products and services and managing such relationships effectively. Supporting the proposal preparation and development processes by providing customer and competitive insights. Leading by example to actively exemplify the Companys vision, culture, and strategies.EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 5 years in business development and project/capture manager experience in government contracting and acquisitions.Successful track record of developing leads, proposal development, and winning contracts with the GSA, DoD, and other federal agencies.Experience in the Government proposal process and working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, applicable state, and local acquisition regulations.Experience with the General Services Administration schedules program and multi-award IDIQ contracts.A clear record of quota achievement and metrics-driven approach to prospecting and managing pipeline through to a successful close.Proficiency in tracking potential opportunities and forecasting accurately on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, demonstrated management and supervisory skills.Ability to work independently, multitask and coordinate activities across a range of functional areas.Must be able to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced work environment with strict deadlines.Strong communication skills, including comfortable presenting to senior executives.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, Word).Professional and confident while striking a balance with humility. Flexible can do approach.Existing relationships with government entities.Experience leading BD/Capture efforts to secure a contract award. EDUCATION:Bachelors degree or higher, preferably in business, marketing, or related field or a technical field.
