Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administers expending of funds for labs, logistics, consumables, computer equipment, and general test equipment used in the laboratories; 2) Assists with design, development, construction and testing of advanced engineering devices and equipment in the area of Aerospace and fluid dynamics; 3) Identifies developmental and training needs of subordinates; and 4) Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, capability of employees and requirements to effectively utilize personnel and facility resources.

Physical Demands:
Duties are performed while standing most of the time. Regularly lifting objects up to 40 pounds and occasional lifting and movement of very heavy equipment. This position requires a significant amount of mobility and physical ability including climbing multiple flights of stairs and ladders.
Work Environment:
Work is performed mostly in well lighted laboratories, classrooms, and/or lecture halls. Some exposure to hazards, such as high intensity ultraviolet light sources, Class IIIB and Class IV lasers, mineral oil and glycerin-based smoke, engine exhaust fumes, and various other hazardous materials, such as motor oil, various fuels, alcohol, cutting fluids, and other chemicals. The engine test cell facilities have several pieces of equipment and machinery that generate noise in excess of 85 db. Hearing protection is provided for use by faculty, staff, and students while these facilities are operating. The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions, dust, dirt, unusual odors, humidity and occasionally uncomfortable temperatures. Accomplishment of assigned duties may require the incumbent to work other than normal duty hours.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

- You will plan life cycle costs and directs the unit to comply with these considerations.
- You will provide instruction on the technical features and engineering considerations of all supported labs.
- You will establish daily priorities and schedules long range plans to meet requirements.
- Manages a budgetary system sub-cost center for both expense and investment accounts in support of all equipment and systems.
