As a lead communications analyst, you will be on a team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new amphibious ships and landing craft to the fleet.Our team is led by a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, each having decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry. Our Amphibious Warfare Operation provides critical services to nearly all US Navy amphibious ships and craft.Serco supports the US Navy as a prime contractor providing amphibious warfare and expeditionary professional support services. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors and marines.In this role, you will:Assist in preparation of technical and other briefings, assessments, hearings, audits, and Milestone reviews.Collect, review, and analyze information to make recommendations to the Government.Define the nature and extent of problems.Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, or expenditures.Interview managers and employees while observing their operations.Develop solutions to problems. While preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.Prepare and solve mathematical models.Report findings and recommendations to the Government. Reports are usually submitted in writing, but oral presentations regarding findings also are common. For some projects, management analysts are retained to help implement the suggestions they have made.Lead and direct the work of others including providing mentorship.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will have:A Highschool Degree/GED with 15 years of relative experience. Individuals with college degrees or technical school or military certifications, including those with less years of experience, will be considered.A current DoD security clearance or be able to obtain an interim clearance after hire.United States (US) citizenship.Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment.Ability to travel (less than 10%) to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility or onboard ship while underway.Additional desired experience and skills:Relevant US Navy or US Coast Guard experience in the areas of ship construction or ship repair is desired. Amphibious warship ship and/or craft construction or ship repair work experience is ideal.15+ years relevant experience in preparation and presentation of briefings on DoD/Navy Ship Programs is desired.Bachelor's Level Degree or Advanced Degree in a Business or Technical Field is desired.If you are interested in supporting and working with our military and sailors and a passionate Serco team - then submit your application now for immediate consideration.
