This position will lead assigned market segments by maintaining and expanding regional relationships with customers and by identifying prospective opportunities. Additionally, the Business Marketing and Development Manager coordinates and participates in all levels of marketing including: corporate branding, advertising, social media campaigning and blog posting.Duties and Responsibilities:Directs and implements the organization's branding and messaging activities.Identifies new market segments that will benefit from company services.Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research.Maintains relationships with current customers while prospecting new customers, pursue leads and negotiate to close.Participate in marketing events such as association meetings and conferences.Manages contract and bid projects through RFP process.Leads proposal phases, activities, and milestones.Production level support as needed to include, but not limited to utility research, utility coordination with venders and support of preparing ticket clears and test pit documents.Performs other related duties as assigned.Education and Job Knowledge:Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.Three (3) to five (5) years of marketing and/or business development experienceAbility to identify, establish and maintain customer relationshipsAbility to identify key growth areas and develop new business avenuesAbility to learn competitors and model competitor behaviors in the marketAbility to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries to achieve results through othersUPI is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAA M/F/Vet/Disability.
