Duties

  • You will Manage a wide range of administrative duties and tasks required of the Blue and Gold Officer (BGO) program.
  • You will receive inquiries and uses knowledge of the various Admissions programs to respond to a high volume of daily emails and phone calls from alumni, parents, BGOs, prospective BGOs, and other stakeholders on various related topics and issues.
  • You will serve as the administrative expert in the Candidate Guidance Department on Department of Navy (DON) Correspondence procedures and manages departmental administrative tasks,
  • You will establishe and maintain complete and appropriate file systems and implement tickler tracking system ensuring timely responses to correspondence and reports.
  • You will be responsible for learning, understanding, and developing complete familiarity with the Salesforce software and regularly provides computer and web-based navigation support to BGOs.
  • You will be the Primary Defense Travel System (DTS) profile administrator for a complex group of travelers.
  • You will be the Head time keeper; responsible for sending out reminders to the Office of Admissions civilian staff for entering time in the Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution (SLDCADA) and any special processing notes.

Qualifications

For GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Thorough understanding of Office of Admissions processes, to include the application and nomination timelines; supporting assessments and award recommendations, and processing end of cycle awards; coordinating program specific training, securing guest speakers, and arranging for travel of attendees; acting as a liaison to other departments and regions within the Office of Admissions; providing all facets of support in the absence of the program officer (BGO), resolving any issues that may arise.

For GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience responding to a high volume of inquiries from various stakeholders on topics and issues surrounding the Office of Admissions processes, coordinating travel and performing timekeeping duties; maintaining accurate and complete data for approximately 2400 stakeholders. Familiarity with salesforce software preferred.
