Duties

  • Serve as the Chief of the Military Personnel Division.
  • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities and scheduling completion.
  • Responsible for providing high quality personnel support to serviced commanders and soldiers.
  • Develop, analyze and interpret regulations, directives, policies and reports pertaining to military personnel matters in order to provide technical guidance to subordinate commands and the headquarters staff regarding military program management.
  • Represent the agency regarding assigned military program areas when attending meetings, seminars and conferences.
  • Prepare reports to inform management of analysis results for use in the decision making process or for in progress status information.
  • Prepare responses to Congressional and other special inquiries.
  • Responsible for management of the military training program for all soldiers assigned to CECOM worldwide.
  • Provide advice on Manpower Management functions for the military positions on Tables of Distribution and Allowances to include analysis of military position structures and determination of proper grades and Military Occupational Specialists.
  • Develop personnel plans to support mobilization, deployment, and military support to civil activities.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing military human resources advisory services, such as military personnel readiness, Enlisted promotions and Enlisted Evaluations, Military Awards, Military Evaluations, etc; 2) analyzing data related to military human resources; AND 3) utilizing military personnel automated systems, such as eMILPO/Datastore, EDAS, TOPMIS, PERSTEMPO, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
