- Exercise broad, overall responsibility for the formulation, development, administration and execution of NARA's IT policies, programs, and projects.
- Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate Information Services activities requiring an expertise and broad scope of knowledge of command and control, communications, and NARA requirements for internal and external customers.
- Assign work to lower level supervisors and/or employees, establishing overall project goals and priorities and evaluate results through formal reviews, briefings, reports, and personal observation.
- As a principal IT staff adviser and consultant for NARA, establish and maintain personal contacts with senior-level management officials, equivalent stakeholders, private contractors and the public.
- Provide contract performance oversight responsibility when contract work is performed within or in support of the Division/Branch and/or functions.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.   • Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position may include the following:

    - Federal Government capital planning processes and technology program portfolio and project management; AND
    Applying IT Principles, concepts, methods, standards and practices to provide guidance, technical advice and recommendations to management on information technology policies and procedures.

    In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
    - Attention to detail, such as reviewing government mandates, regulatory or procedural changes for effect on existing systems including end-user impacts.
    - Customer Service, such as making listening to customers a top priority across the business, using tools to understand your customers business, and implementing feedback to improve relationships and solve specific problems.
    - Oral Communication, such as making recommendations in partnership with other IT divisions that a legacy system is deemed obsolete and a possible candidate for modernization.
    - Problem Solving, such as assisting with management in short (tactical) and long-range (strategic) operational and planning functions.


    This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
