The Investment Sales team is recognized nationwide for its expertise, providing asset-specific customization that yields highly effective transaction strategies. Investment Sales advisors work closely with the Debt & Structured Finance team on loan origination, underwriting, closing, life-of-loan servicing and asset management. This experienced team provides clients with innovative and comprehensive solutions by accessing a full suite of debt products, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, Bridge, Life Company, Bank and CMBS products. JOB DESCRIPTION: The role of the Senior Business Analyst is to support Newmark's Multifamily Capital Markets senior executive team in the execution of strategic initiatives through in-depth research and analysis of competitors, clients and the Multifamily Capital Markets industry. The Senior Business Analyst will organize, monitor and report on the execution of the corporate strategic plan through specific KPIs and comparative metrics. This role will also assist in identifying and analyzing new business opportunities and developing force extenders which scale the productivity and profitability of Newmark. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Assist in the development of the corporate and business unit strategic plans. Create process and metrics to calibrate actual performance to plan. Assist in the design and generation of operating, financial and market analysis, providing context to Newmark goals and performance. Research and identify M targets; participating in M due diligence, closing and integration. Measure and report balance of trade, major news, executive moves, key Newmark relationships and other relevant data for priority client accounts Use data from various internal and external sources to assist in prioritization of initiatives and measure effective deployment of resources. Research, identify and maintain a target list of strategic recruits. Using the work product of the Research Department and other sources, prepare forecasts and analyze trends in general and real estate specific business conditions Develop scenario planning tools/models (exit/maintain/grow) Assist in the coordination of personnel from various business units in the development of technology initiatives to facilitate successful project implementations Participate in the development and distribution of best practices, process documentation, and user support SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required Master's degree preferred Minimum of 5 years of related experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal customers Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization, including the Executive Committee Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, especially related to commercial real estate Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, Outlook) SharePoint, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Domo, SAP, Oracle, SQL Ability to use query and report generation tools Self-service/web-based application experience desired Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic Benefits and Perks: Industry leading Parental Leave Policy (up to 16 weeks) Generous healthcare Bright Horizons back-up care program Generous paid time off Education reimbursement Referral Program Opportunities to network and connect within the industry Working Conditions: Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements.
