The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including working with the partners on interviewing and hiring staff, administering benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Duties and Responsibilities:Works with partner group on recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training new staffWorks with partner group in reviewing employee compensation and benefitsEnsure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulationsDevelop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilitiesInvestigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them a resolutionEnsure the firm's compliance with local, state and federal regulationsMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawPerforms other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of FMLA and the ability to implement regulations in a small firm growing in size.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityThorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulationsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficiency with the ability to quickly learn the firm's systems Education and Experience:Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field requiredA minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferredSHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired At Lanigan Ryan, we believe that a good training program is key to the ongoing success of our people.
