The Datacenter Technician will be working in a large, fast-paced data center in Herndon, VA. This Technician will need to have past experience working in a data center to be considered. This role will be 40 hours per week. This Technician will be handling hardware, software, and will need to draw from past experience to effectively execute cabling tasks.Some of the other responsibilities will be: Extended circuits from the demarcation point to client's equipment and participate in conference calls to troubleshoot and confirm connectivity.Performed network cable installs using patch panels and label standards (copper, MM/SM fiber).Troubleshoot and resolve network issues using cable analyzers. Configure ILO settings on new production servers, switch ports, VLANs.Perform troubleshoot and installation requests via ticketing system.Supervise equipment installation group which performs device installs and cable runs.Implemented new patch panel infrastructure needs and placement.Responsible for virtual database population of devices and connections.
