Job Description:As a Senior Analyst within the Counterparty Credit Risk group, you will be responsible for monitoring of the credit risk profile of firms consisting primarily of banks and broker-dealers. This credit risk monitoring process includes annual reviews, ongoing surveillance of monthly/quarterly financial data, ongoing surveillance of negative news, maintenance of the credit risk rating matrix (CRRM) model, and other ongoing monitoring. You will also be expected to stay current on new accounting and regulatory developments, as well as macroeconomic trends, which impact member firms.You will also assist on various projects to help the CCR team in its mandate of monitoring credit risk. These projects will likely include gathering and reviewing financial statements, analyzing current procedures to identity opportunities to streamline processes, and coordinating with other departments on initiatives such as automating processes.Responsibilities:Perform annual reviews, and ongoing surveillance, of member firms across clearing corporations, to assess the creditworthiness of member firms.Analyze and spread financial statements to identify credit risks and mitigants, and to assess trends in financial institutions' (eg, banks, broker-dealers, trusts, central securities depositories, etc.) capital adequacy, profitability, asset quality, and liquidity/funding management.Work with internal departments, including Market Risk, Product Management, Relationship Management, Legal, and Compliance, to maintain transparency when assessing potential risk exposures within member firms.Review new member full-service applications to assess whether the applicants' financial condition meets member requirements.Assess whether member firms need to be placed on enhanced surveillance based on newly disclosed material events.Adhere to risk-related policies and best practices of CCR, and ensure compliance with CCR's policies and proceduresDemonstrate the behaviors and competencies that create a risk management mindset in the organization.Demonstrate regulatory awareness and compliance and ensure adherence to risk-related policies and best practices.Assist with the Credit Risk Rating Model (rating changes and qualitative factors).Complete Ad-hoc projects as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higherAt least 1 year experience in a Credit/Financial analysis roleAdditional Qualifications:Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skillsPassion for credit analysis and the financial marketsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Equal Employment OpportunityOur client is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
