DarkStar Intelligence is looking for an HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager is responsible for various functions of the Human Resource department, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, leave, reporting, and administration of company policies. The ideal HR Manager will be Humble, Passionate about our work and the people who do it, Agile enough to multitask effectively, and willing to take Ownership of the HR function in its entirety.ResponsibilitiesEmployee Engagement - Recommend and execute strategies and tactics for measuring, diagnosing, improving, and ultimately maintaining high levels of employee engagement at DarkStar. Experience with surveys, action learning cohorts, hypothesis-based problem solving, and/or other best practices in this regard will be critical here.Education and training - Ensure mandatory training and continuing education is complete and documented, including safety training, code of conduct and handbook training, anti-harassment training and any other certifications or acknowledgments required by DarkStar or its clients. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, changes to regulations, new technology breakthroughs in HR, talent, and employment law.Benefits - Assist employees with benefit programs and all leave requests. Work closely with the Human Resource team on the annual Open Enrollment period. Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Compliance - Manage all compliance vendors (currently Circa) and submissions for VETS-4212, EEO-1, and other relevant Department of Labor reporting requirements. Further, the HR Manager will own all Affirmative Action Plans (AAPs), updating and auditing the internal documents as needed as well as ensuring the AAPS are readily available to all DarkStar employees.Employee relations - Manage all details and coordination of disciplinary discussions, terminations, and investigations. Guide the leadership team on sensitive or complex matters and elevate to the appropriate staff when investigations are required. Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role. Talent Acquisition - KPI reporting and surge support for the recruiting team, assisting with tactical and strategic responsibilities as needed. The HR Manager will also be a stakeholder for internal (corporate) hiring at DarkStar.RequirementsA minimum of three years of experience in Human ResourcesStrong ability to multitask and remain calm in emergenciesSuperb conflict resolution skills Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all timesStrong knowledge of employment laws and regulationsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficient in HRIS and talent management systems (currently Rippling and JazzHR, respectively)DesiredBachelor's degree Federal contracting experience preferred, specifically the intelligence communitySHRM-CP, PHR, or accredited equivalentExperience with Talent Acquisition, either as an individual contributor or managerDue to our contractual requirements and an Executive Order from the White House, every federal government employee and federal contractor will be asked to attest to their vaccination status.
