Our client is looking for a very hands-on and self-motivated full charge bookkeeper who is ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate is a good team player while being adept and accustomed to working independently to support multiple entities. Our client is looking for a qualified full charge bookkeeper who has strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills in the Baltimore area. Overview of Responsibilities:. Prepare, adjust, and maintain journal entries and various ledgers including: cash disbursements, cash receipts, debits/credits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end payroll summary. . Prepare month-end close and generate monthly financial statements or reports including: accounts payable/accounts receivable reconciliations, cash flow report, P&L, balance sheet, and budgets.. Prepare and present monthly financial reports.. Maintain company banking information (checking, savings, and credit accounts).. Ensure all financial data is entered accurately and all discrepancies are reported and reconciled.. Manage all accounting and financial controls, procedures, records, and data.. Record and reconcile payroll. 5+ years of accounting/financial experience including knowledge of debits/credits, GL, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting etc.. Small company accounting experience in roles such as Full-Charge Bookkeeper.. Experience handling the accounting for multiple entities is a plus.. Hands on with the ability to effectively manage processes and people.. Strong technical skills with proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite required; QuickBooks experience is highly desired.. Analytical and numbers driven with the ability to analyze data, cost save, and effectively problem-solve.. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a strong sense of professionalism.. Resourceful with a strong attention to detail, level of accuracy, and organizational skills.. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.. Not easily overwhelmed with the ability to operate with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.. Self-motivated with a team player mentality and positive attitude.
