Description RF Technician (DETO-21-1575-Z) Bowhead is seeking a RF Technician to support the technical and operational services in support of DE projects within NSWCDD E10 in Dahlgren, VA. Specific activities include the application of DE system technologies, deployment, and operations of: High Powered Radio Frequency (HPRF), High Energy Laser (HEL), High Voltage Electrostatic Discharge systems; and existing Radar and CREW systems and technologies for CIED purposes. Specific duties include: Assist with the design and installation of RF cabling and control lines Assist with the design, build, test, and operations of a CIED system Support laboratory test and operations Requirements In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire. All job offers in connection with a covered contract may be contingent upon providing proof of vaccination prior to your anticipated start date. - Bachelors Degree required. -Five (5) years of experience in the operation, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of RF components and electromagnetic sensors. -Three (3) years experience using Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and other RF and non-RF measurement equipment, RF supporting instrumentation, High Voltage systems, and component selection is required. -Demonstrated experience in setting up laboratories, conducting laboratory and field tests is required. Licensed electrician highly recommended. Travel up to 25% when testing occurs; Experience with testing setup/breakdown of equipment at the test sites . Experience with mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and electrical ( connectors and panel connection) skills. Familiarity with thermal subsystems. Cabling experience is also a must. BISCI training is preferred. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
