Together, we serve approximately 800,000 Kaiser Permanente members in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia at 34 area medical centers, plus several community hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.Job Summary:We are seeking a Physician Recruiter to join our Physician Recruitment team at Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG). The Physician Recruiter will develop and implement effective physician recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Physician Recruiter works closely with candidates and leads, guides and supports Physicians-in-Chief, Service Chiefs, and Module Leads throughout the recruitment cycle.This position may temporarily begin remotely and will eventually be based in our Rockville, Maryland regional office with the ability to continue to work remotely a few days a week.Responsibilities:Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment processIdentifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the candidate market, , industry standards, and the needs of MAPMG clinical operationsConducts intake meetings with hiring managers as needed for new requirementsScreens and selects qualified candidates for hiring managersPrepares interview questions and other hiring and selection materialsCoordinates with administrative and support staff to schedule candidate interviewsConducts and attends interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholdersCollaborates with the hiring manager during the offer process by identifying hiring incentives, start dates, and other pertinent detailsAttends and participates in nationwide physician recruitment events for all specialtiesSources and screens candidates who are a clinical and cultural fit for the organizationDelivers a concise, compelling presentation of the advantages of MAPMG's integrated health care delivery model to physician candidatesServes as a true business partner who implements recruitment plans that support the overall mission of MAPMGIdentifies the best recruitment activities (websites, conferences, journal advertising) for each medical specialtyProactively conducts research and investigates innovative ways to source candidatesBuilds and maintains proactive relationships with colleges, residency programs, professional associations, and candidates to create a pipeline of talent for positions within the assigned client groupsRegularly meets with internal stakeholders to discuss all recruitment needs and the status of open positionsFacilitates an exceptional candidate experienceMaintains timely and accurate candidate records in applicant tracking system.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policiesPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree requiredAt least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring processPrevious experience in health care recruitment is strongly preferredCPRP Certification strongly preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tacticsAbility to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of rolesProactive and independent with the ability to take initiativeExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesFamiliarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitmentProficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systemsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareAbility to travel to multiple medical centers in the Mid-Atlantic area is required.Consistently provides outstanding service to internal and external customers.Competitive Benefits:Competitive compensation packageComprehensive benefits including 100% employer-funded medical and dental insurance premiums for employees and familiesGreat work/life balanceGenerous paid time offMaternity and parental leavePension plan and 401(k) retirement planLife insurance, and short-term disability and long-term disability coverageEducation reimbursementEquity, Inclusion, and Diversity:MAPMG continuously works to identify and mitigate healthcare inequities, and that starts with providing an inclusive, supportive environment for our physicians.
