For me, that's a big breath of fresh air."Sunrise LeaderThe Director of Community Relations is responsible for generating revenue as a result of a direct external sales effort and co-marketing effort with Sunrise Senior Living Communities. These responsibilities include maintaining professional relationships in the community, the development and implementation of sales strategies, and achieving sales targets for the assigned Sunrise Senior Living Communities. The Director of Community Relations will target referrals from among the professional medical community, various community-based organizations, related providers, and any other identifiable potential revenue stream.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Essential Duties: External Business DevelopmentIdentify, target, and generate consistent and continuous referral stream from qualified referral sources as a result of an effective and systematic external business development sales execution yielding both census and revenue growthEstablish and maintain relationships with key area referral sources in the community.Provide ongoing product-service education as a result of sales effort within the community, trade organizations, hospital departments, physicians, and other health care organizations, as appropriateParticipate in professional societies and activities related to the health care industry and community-based organizationsDevelop and implement strategic account plan to achieve objectives for area of responsibilityPrepare and submit required sales management reports reflecting targets, progress and accomplishments.Identify both new business opportunities and new customer call points within the communities served for additional revenue generationDocument referral activity within respective area of responsibility for efficiency and effectivenessMaintain a thorough working proficiency and keep professional contact and account records current on the customer relationship management systemOrganize Sunrise portfolio participation in community events, both offsite and onsite, including coordinating all marketing efforts (eg promotion of event, collateral, signage, etc.)Coordinates joint marketing efforts with appropriate representatives of Sunrise Senior Living Communities to identify and meet with both prospective and existing customers, as appropriateCommunicates strategies, tactics, and results of their efforts with the Sunrise communities in their portfolioEssential Duties: Financial ManagementUnderstands and manages the department budget and its impact on the community's bottom lineProcess and submit monthly expenses and budget data timely per Sunrise policies and internal business controlsUnderstands the internal cost associated with all Sunrise resident care programsEssential Duties: Training, Leadership and Team Member DevelopmentPartners in the delivery and participation in Sunrise University Training and self study programs during the required timeframeDevelops a working knowledge of state regulations and ensures complianceKeeps abreast of professional developments in the field by reading, attending conferences, and training sessionsQualifications:College degree preferred3-5 years' experience in consultative sales; healthcare product and/or service sales preferredA demonstrated track record of accomplished outside sales/account managementAbility to handle multiple prioritiesPossess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate group presentationsCompetent in organizational, time management skillsDemonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skillsDemonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new applicationsAbility to work weekends and flexible hours, available for our customers at peak service delivery days and time, reflective of our Leadership Excellence StaffingSunrise maintains a safe and drug-free work environment and all offers of employment with Sunrise are conditioned on submitting to and successfully completing and passing a background check and drug test.Sunrise Senior Living offers a comprehensive benefits plan to eligible team members including health, dental, vision, retirement benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid time off.
