Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components. Drafts detailed drawings for fabrication. Devices, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Sets up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. Analyzes data and recommends modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications.Role; flight propulsion system test and launch operations test technician. Must be able to use basic mechanical test equipment, pressurization panels and controller electronics. Should also be able to use electronic control equipment including power supplies, meters and simple digital control electronics/software.Should be able to work with ground support equipment in simple assembly/ disassembly operations, review design drawings and instructions and perform routine maintenance. Understands basic valve function and assemblies, comfortable working with moderate to high pressure gases, using flexible pressure lines and leak testing processes.Some travel required (domestic and foreign).Required;AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience.Experienced with mechanical assembly and integration processes and tools; using torque wrenches, following procedures and checking instructions.Can read and follow engineering procedures for test operations.Can read and build mechanical pressure test equipment from design drawings and assembly instructions.Ability to work with minimal supervision to complete tasks on time and within an established budgetAbility to work with MS spreadsheet or equivalent productsWilling to work weekendsAbility to obtain and retain a security clearance.Preferred;Experience with pneumatic test and/or propellant loading operations and equipmentWorking knowledge/ experience with aerospace standards, launch site facility safety standards and operational requirementsTS ClearanceSalary Range: 50000 - 83400Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
