Job DescriptionBello Machre is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Residential Program in Anne Arundel County. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are essential staff and provide loving care for three or four adults with developmental disabilities who live in one of our many homes throughout Anne Arundel County. In addition to providing support and loving care, our employees help the people we serve to learn independent living skills, plan activities in the home and community, and implement individual program plans.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GED requiredMust have a current driver's license with no more than 5 pointsMust complete required trainings within 60 days of being hiredMust display a genuine interest in the well-being of adults with developmental disabilitiesMust demonstrate the ability to resolve problems and conflict effectivelyMust be able to deal with confidential information appropriatelyMust be able to communicate effectively with supervisor, peers, individuals, and familiesMust be able to maintain a consistent work schedule, be dependable and secure coverage when absentMust display a positive attitude when interacting with othersMust be able to teach skills, provide support, and build on each individual's strengths and capabilitiesResponsibilitiesProvides outstanding support and services for people with developmental disabilities, enabling them to participate as fully as they wish in all aspects of community lifeReports medical concerns, conditions, and changes in health status in a timely fashionMaintains accurate documentation including Medical Administration RecordsAdministers and maintains ongoing medication and physician ordersHelps maintain a family-style household, which includes cooking balanced meals according to clients' needs and preferences and maintaining house cleanlinessAttends mandatory training and meetings, including supervisory meetings and house meetingsEnsures a safe environment where individuals are free from abuse and neglectCompany DescriptionBello Machre - We provide a lifetime commitment of loving care, opportunity, and guidance to people with developmental disabilities in Maryland.
