Duties

  • You will direct work efforts providing improvements to the Naval Sustainment System Policy/Governance, Master Scheduling, Work Load Planning, Work Load Standards and In-Service Repair processes, policies and metrics.
  • You will be point of contact for new production operations strategy, initiatives and standards and provide guidance to industrial production operation functional personnel at all Fleet Readiness Centers.
  • You will establish and maintain policies and procedures to support establishment and sustainment of the strategic workload planning and maintain compliance for depot level industrial repair and overhaul.
  • You will prepare and present convincing oral and written presentations to all levels of government and industry management to effectively prove and justify significant deviations from established logistics and industrial policies.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field L Level 3. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1. Implementing experimental theories and new developments to resolve problems and provide efficient aircraft rework capability; 2. Implementing new or enhanced technology to improve production through reducing cost and turnaround time; 3. Developing strategies and operating procedures for overall planning, direction, and timely execution of programs; 4. Leading and motivating a diverse group of technical professionals to conduct reviews, investigations, improvement initiatives, and command-wide projects; and 5. Providing technical and administrative direction to support the industrial workload.
