Duties

  • Review and provide analysis and recommendations on new training initiatives that support Army Senior Leader decisions.
  • Manage all changes to the Army Program for Individual Training (ARPRINT) for Active, National Guard and Reserve individual institutional training seat requirements and resources during the budget and execution years.
  • Program Analyst for Officer Initial Entry Training (IET) for a variety of training programs.
  • ATRRS System Manager/Functional Expert.
  • Coordinate and implement compliance, security, migration, data, technical refresh and other ATRRS functionality.
  • Provide contractor oversight and guidance for operations, programmatic support, and maintenance of ATRRS to achieve an annual 95% availability rate.
  • Ensure ATRRS remains a modern, secure, state-of-the-art solution supporting mission critical activities.
  • HQDA policy proponent for AR 350-10.
  • Research and analyze legislation, executive orders and directives, Judge Advocate General Opinions and/or Comptroller General decisions, incorporating changes in law and policy into Army Policy.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting fact finding studies to determine programs/projects to curtail or initiate new initiatives within constrained budgets; assessing the impact of new initiatives on individual institutional training and readiness; monitoring changes and reports major factors covering training programs; representing leadership at multiple strategic decision-making forums to ensure proposed training initiatives and strategies are executable and supportable. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
