Duties

As a PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Providing analytical research, studies, reviews, and research projects to measure and evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, trends, and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Travel Card policy, regulations, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborating on DoD Government Travel Credit Card (GTCC) program goals for both current and new initiatives with stakeholders and partners (OSD, Military Services, Defense Agencies, Field Activities, DFAS, GSA, and OMB and the travel card contracted bank) to improve business processes and procedures that in turn influence performance effectiveness.
  • Serving as a functional expert for the DoD Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program managing responsibilities related to monitoring, scheduling, communicating, and implementing travel card policies, initiatives, and program guidance supporting the DoD and the organization's mission, vision, and strategic plan.
  • Providing thorough, accurate, and timely data about a DoD Components' Centrally Billed Account (CBA) and Individually Billed Account (IBA) activities and providing statistical analyses of participation, delinquencies, debt aging, and relevant trends.
  • Providing program and life cycle management support; initiate/establish and communicate travel card guidance, procedures, website content, and documents for the Department of Defense (DoD).

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Serving as a DoD Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Component Program Manager or Coordinator.
  • Providing technical expertise and knowledge as it relates to monitoring, scheduling, and implementing GTCC policies and initiatives.
  • Performing continuing analyses of the effectiveness, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and other key parameters of the GTCC Program progress and success.
