Duties

As a Program Coordinator, you will:
  • Coordinate the tour program of the Treasury Building for both the Saturday public tours and VIP tours during the week. Establish and maintain contact with Congressional staff in scheduling tours for constituents and guests and conducts VIP tours as required and perform other public relations outreach duties related to the tour program and to Treasury's history.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of special events with various interagency groups that the Office of the Curator is affiliated with. These events can range from networking gatherings to outdoor walking tours.
  • Draft and edit publications relevant to the programs of the Office. Incumbent must monitor supplies and keep brochures and other publications stocked throughout the Main Treasury Building and the Annex.
  • Serve as the Gift Unit Coordinator for DO and other Treasury bureaus for all incoming gifts. Receives, photographs, and assesses market values, and arranges for their appropriate disposition, as needed. Tracks all gifts in an Excel spreadsheet and facilitates the review of the gift registers by the Office of the General Counsel.

    Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    To qualify at the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    - Providing program office support for administrative functions; AND
    - Communicating administrative information with a variety of internal and external recipients; AND
    - Assisting in planning and executing events for an educational or museum organization; AND
    - Implementing and guiding an American history, decorative arts history, or architectural history program in an educational or museum setting

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
