Duties

  • Directs and develops finance and accounting operations for NAF.
  • Is responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Support Division at a large garrison.
  • Performs liaison with and coordinates programs with AAFES and other garrison agencies.
  • Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures; and implements regulations to ensure functions are carried out in accordance with governing laws, policies, regulations, and professional standards of service.
  • Meets with program/activity managers, coordinates the implementation, and approves plans to meet the garrison objectives and goals by functional area.
  • Serves on a variety of activity councils to keep informed of operations and/or to coordinate programs and requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Incumbent must file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with the requirements of AR 600-50.
  • A required Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 30 August 1993.


Qualifications

Work Experience directing/managing one or more DMWR Support Management programs for a Garrison, or similar civilian community, for at least one year. Knowledge of programming, planning, budgeting, and long range planning.

Highly Preferred

Highly Preferred will possess work experience directing/managing one or more DFMWR Support Management programs for a Garrison for at least three years. Experience with FMWR Automation Software packages such as RecTrac, Blueforce, FMBS and SNACS. Incumbent will also have experience that demonstrates a broad knowledge of and ability to apply principles, methods, and techniques of financial management.
