Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a security technology organization seeking a Business Development Manager to help their growing team with securing new relationships and creating go-to-market plans. If you bring proven experience in growing the market and leading proposal efforts, comfortable with government RFPs, and knowledge in the science/engineering space, apply now! This position will require travel in the future.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain growing pipeline of businesses, government customers, defense industrial base, etc.
  • Create and implement go-to-market plans to provide solutions
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • Manage the closing process and manage resources to develop internal sales process
  • Market solutions, drive expectations and create demonstrations, white papers, RFIs, etc.
  • Ensure successful delivery of solutions to meet customer needs
  • Develop forecasts, reports, and briefings for Executive Management
  • Communicate progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders
  • Develop strategies for competitive analysis, price analysis, white papers and proposals
  • Manage CRM and develop customer account plans with profiles and highlighting customer needs

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree required (engineering, science or business preferred)
  • Min 5 years in Business Development role (sales, marketing, BD)
  • Proven track record of B2B and B2G with average contract of $500k- $5M
  • Experience in support of teams performing TSCM, SIGINT/EW, or Physical and Technical Security
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present to clients
  • Knowledge of marketing, contract development and project management
  • Must be clearable (U.S. Citizen and clear background)
