The Product Manager reports to the Director of Product Management and provides the strategic direction and product oversight of AARP Rewards, a gamified learning platform that incentivizes preparation for life transitions. This role is responsible for creating highly compelling consumer experiences that drives activation, learners and active redeemers. This senior professional determines the development required to enhance AARP Rewards digital consumer experiences and to increase consumer satisfaction. This role requires creative skills and detail-orientation to understand consumer behaviors that lead to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drives the product strategy and development of new features and experiences.
  • Owns the product lifecycle of AARP Rewards from ideation, strategic planning, tactical initiatives, product roadmap, and product development. Ensures growth in total activations, total learners and total redeemers.
  • Cultivates deep understanding of consumers/members through human center design including assessing needs, identifying pain points/barriers, ideating value proposition and solutions, and assisting in estimating demand.
  • Facilitates input from internal stakeholders and other product teams to gather and document detailed consumer and business requirements.
  • Leads a cross-functional team of UX/UI, digital technology, QA, and stakeholders to create compelling interactive digital experiences that provides meaningful value to consumers and aligns with the business strategy.
  • Conducts data driven analysis and analyzes performance to drive product decisions that deliver consumer value.
  • Drives a culture of experimentation and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 8+ years of work experience in product management with consumer or agency. MBA a plus.
  • An understanding of the evolving media, technology, and design landscape, including new technologies and standards.
  • Self-starter with proven track record and a desire to go the extra mile.
  • Strategic thinker with innovative mindset willing to take measured risks Ability to build outstanding partner relationships and influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the enterprise in an extremely complex organization.
  • Ability to gain internal respect and build consensus from superiors, peers and subordinates.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
