Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Inclusive Living Services, the Scheduler is responsible for scheduling Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work specified shifts in Community Living Services and Personal Supports. This Scheduler will ensure that open shifts are covered by DSPs who have the skills and training to support the person/people they will work with during the shift. The Scheduler may be required to work evenings and weekends to procure coverage is provided for short notice absences. The Scheduler will work closely with the Associate Director, Assistant Directors and Team Coordinators of Inclusive Living Services of Services to ensure expectations are met. The Scheduler will supervise on-call DSPs.

Job Duties:

1. Working with the Associate Director, Assistant Directors and Team Coordinators, will schedule DSPs to cover open shifts in Community Living Services and Personal Supports.

2. Will ensure that DSPs assigned to work an open shift have the requisite skills and training to support the person/people they will work with during the shift.

3. Will develop and maintain a tracking system to ensure DSPs are scheduled to work in homes based on matrix levels or the allotted hours in Personal Supports.

4. Will develop and maintain a system to track and monitor hours worked by DSPs in order to minimize overtime expenses.

5. Will maintain the on-call availability list.

6. Will be responsible for coordinating schedules with temporary staffing agencies and utilizing this service in cost-effective manner.

7. Will review invoices from temporary staffing agencies to ensure accuracy and prepare voucher for payment.

8. Will act as the immediate supervisor of on-call DSPs to include participating in the hiring process, evaluating performance and ensuring training is completed in a timely manner.
