Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group in collaboration with a Fortune 500 company is searching for a motivated Contract Manager. The Manager will lead contract management and compliance matters. They will be responsible for monitoring changes to contracts, assist clients and manage all contract related tasks. Responsibilities:
  • Ensure contract review; engage with relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving requirements, contract standards, and risk management measures
  • Analyze contract pre award, identify risks, and provide recommendations
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to discuss contract terms, obligations and change in requirements
  • Interpret and write contracts, check for compliance on matters of interpretation
  • Plan and execute an effective negotiation strategy to produce contracts and business objectives
  • Evaluate risk, perform liability assessments to determine risk; propose alternatives and identify relevant counter proposal using expertise and sound business judgment
  • Prepare proposal documents to ensure compliance with regulations and contracting policies as well as compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements
  • Liaise across multiple internal teams and external contacts to discuss and obtain necessary information
  • Partner with teams to work on continually improving processes and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Implement company policies, directions and initiatives and recommend improvements to same
  • Provide support for ongoing tasks and special project

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Position requires U.S Citizenship
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business, Contract Management or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in contract management and working in a federal contracting setting or legal field
  • NCMA, IACCM Certification or similar professional certification/membership are a plus
  • Knowledge of federal and commercial contracting regulations and policies; understanding of FAR/DFAR, and accounting and finance principles
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and strategies
  • Strong analytical skills to build and interpret complex reports
  • Ability to work independently or with a team; and interact with all levels of management
