Let your imagination take flight supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks aProgram Management, Senior to provide support to the Re-Imagine OPNAV Modeling and Reliability Control Boards (RCB) Team at the NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS AND COMMAND (NAVAIR) located in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Responsibilities
  • Track contract cost, schedule, and performance, as well as preparing documents and developing policy, procedures, and reporting status to all levels
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) / Integrated Government Schedules (IGS)
  • Develop and maintain program risks and other execution and tracking products
  • Oversee Contractor personnel program/project operations by developing procedures, planning, and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance, and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress
  • Prepare briefing materials, organize product demonstrations, and coordinate meetings with project team and senior naval officials
  • Prepare and manage documentation for planning, programming, budgeting, and execution in support of efforts
  • Manage acquisition and employment of program/project resources
  • Aid in financial forecasting, developing government's best estimates
  • Assist in preparing, interpreting and updating Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) , Model and Simulation Support Plan, and other living documents required for acquisition life-cycle management.

Required Qualifications
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience
  • Five (5) of the most recent years' experience must have been directly supporting project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with the highest levels of management and leadership, including Oral Presentation and Question and Answer sessions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort
  • Adept with Microsoft Office Suites (More specifically, Microsoft Project and Visio)
    • Be able to create a critical path
    • Knowing how to create dependencies using successors and predecessors, etc.
  • Knowledge and ability to work in SharePoint
  • Ability to perform with very minimal oversight or supervision
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination.

Desired Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
  • Data analytics skill to understand usage patterns and make informed recommendations for futures
  • Experience with NAVAIR
  • Strong understanding and/or experience with DoD and military service branches
  • Ability to build strong relationships and deliver results in cross-group projects
  • Experience in multiple phases of acquisition

Education
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Degree should be focused on Business, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or other related fields.
  • Master's degree is highly desired. NAVAIR PM experience with an ACAT level program substituted for this requirement.
