Primary Purpose

Reporting to the Clinical Project Coordinator Director, the Clinical Project Coordinator Manager supports Emmes' mission of providing the highest possible quality and efficiency of services that create value within Emmes and for its clients and sponsors. This role may support Public Sector and/or BioPharma work.

Responsibilities
  • Communicates corporate goals to the CPC group and models corporate culture through vision, action, and learning
  • Provides direct supervision of CPCs, including resource management, training, quality of service to Projects, and supervising the career paths of CPC staff
  • Responsible for training and development of CPC staff
  • May contribute to interviewing and making hiring decisions for CPC staff
  • Holds direct reports accountable for high performance while promoting engagement and fostering a value-based culture of accountability
  • Ensures frequent, clear, and open communication that fosters and maintains transparent, effective, and collaborative relationships with the CPC Director, other CPC Managers, members of other Service Groups across the organization, as well as Project Leaders to ensure quality delivery of services
  • Communicates effectively with direct reports, Project Leaders, and other corporate staff, and acts with sound judgment, maturity, and confidence
  • Participates in the creation and maintenance of SOPs and Work Instructions that accurately reflect the standards of activities falling under the responsibilities of the CPC group
  • Promotes quality standards and requirements for improvement of direct reports' performance
  • Recommends internal and external training standards and opportunities
  • Communicates CPC job descriptions and career paths to direct reports
  • Checks in regularly, delivers performance feedback, and conducts comprehensive performance evaluations with direct reports
  • Provides recommendations for salary increases, bonuses, and promotions for direct reports
  • Participates in CPC Leveling reviews and recommendations
  • Facilitates activities related to performance concerns and implementing Performance Improvement Plans for direct reports, in collaboration with ERC and CPC Director
  • Fosters high group engagement (through Gallup and other means) across clinical operations for CPC staff
  • Ensures assignments meet project needs for current and future work, in collaboration with Talent Department and CPC Director
  • Under the direction of the CPC Director, provides budgetary input for Vertical
  • May be responsible for project or corporate work deliveries
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Incumbent typically will possess 10 years of project coordination experience
  • Experience in leading administrative support teams
  • Demonstrated management or team lead experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
