Risk Manager, Card Access Risk Governance

As a Risk Manager at Capital One you'll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One.

Responsibilities:
  • S erve as subject matter expert identifying existing and emerging access risks
  • Collaborate and partner across the Card line of business, lines of defense, and Tech risk partners driving a comprehensive access management agenda
  • Provide input to regulatory exam and internal audit responses
  • Support various risk engagements demonstrating a well-managed program (control testing, process level assessments, etc.)
  • Provide thoughtful interpretation of policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to assess impact on the access management practices within Card
  • Manage the Card access control portfolio by ensuring proper coverage of risk, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance controls, creating the guidance to enable control execution, and by advising teams on control adherence.
  • Develop reporting and metrics to monitor risk and progress against objectives.
  • Developing and presenting details related to access risk, program initiatives and status, and other significant events and activities related to Card access and the access risk governance program
  • Work on a high performing team proactively identifying opportunities to reduce access management risk and developing creative solutions to automating associate access.


Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a regulated industry
  • At least 2 years of experience managing results through coordination with key stakeholders and internal business partners
  • At least 1 years of experience working in a Risk Management, Compliance, or Audit capacity
  • At least 1 year of experience managing, executing, auditing or testing risk and controls


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience working in a regulated industry
  • 3+ years of financial services risk management experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing results through coordination with key stakeholders and internal business partners
  • 2+ years of experience communicating with technical and non-technical resources
  • 2+ years of experience managing, executing, auditing or testing risk and controls
  • 1+ years of experience with working to implement enterprise controls
  • 1+ years of experience developing and implementing formal process documentation (policies, standards, procedures
  • 1+ years of experience within an Identity and Access Management or Cyber security domain
  • 1+ years experience with the AWS cloud environment
