Job Description

As a member of the Product Operations & Delivery team at Capital One, you can achieve results you never thought possible by leading critical and strategic business transformations. In this exciting role, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the Finance organization: business, tech, design and product teams, to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company and align with leadership's biggest priorities. Furthermore, your role within the On Demand Finance Transformation (ODFT) organization will put you in the driver's seat to enable our talented development teams to deliver capabilities, products, and solutions which will improve the way our Finance associates perform their work.

The Product Operations and Delivery team are best-in-class leaders in operationalizing and implementing complex, large-scale business strategies and solutions. General Responsibilities:
  • Oversee creation, implementation, and execution of operational processes and strategy that drive the Product, Tech, and Design's interactional & operating model
  • Partner with Head of Product and Product Leads to connect the dots across the Product Ecosystem and Product Strategy, to ensure appropriate resources and attention is focused on the highest leverage, most critical areas of work
  • Leverage data to drive decision making, and is savvy with synthesizing data and using tools to create necessary reports for the Product organization
  • Plan, design, manage, and execute product roadmaps to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning, and implementation.
  • Leverage problem solving skills to ensure the health, operations, and metrics of overall product ecosystem and delivery of intent
  • Assist teams in developing objectives and corresponding key results to tie back to value-delivered
  • Partner with with Product, Tech, and Design partners and customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive solutions and implementations
  • Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure accountability for and delivery of commitments.
  • Exhibit a proven track record of implementing programs and streamlining processes, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work, prioritization, and dual track agile needs
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with Product, Tech, and Design partners, as well as key customers across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.
  • Demonstrate confidence in presenting to an executive audience.
  • Display ability to roll up messaging to an appropriate level for an executive audience. Produce professional, thoughtful presentation materials to drive home the big picture for our leadership team to make well informed decisions.
  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Ability to understand large, complex financial concepts (such as Capital Markets, Forecasting, etc.) and the associated data and technology implications
  • Display exceptional consulting and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholders across all levels.
  • Show a willingness to learn and an intellectual curiosity to better understand Capital One's business processes to identify areas for improvement.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience with Product and/or implementing large scale programs


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree
  • At least 7 years of experience implementing large scale technology transformation projects
  • Product, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • Strong understanding of financial, banking, data, and technology concepts
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills
  • Basic understanding of Product Management key principles, artifacts, and best practices
  • Work experience achieving results, with a focus on outcomes
  • People leadership experience
