Associate, Accounting

Responsibilities:

  • Support program level coordination with enterprise risk management functions to align with standards and requirements and conduct associated monitoring to ensure compliance
  • Support both team's implementation of an enterprise risk management application by re-designing team processes to integrate with the new application and requirements.
  • Perform routine program management responsibilities across both teams such as facilitating project tracking, change management processes, and resolving data quality issues.
  • Assist with controls testing program management, including scoping and engagement planning, tracking and managing testing workflow and status through Workiva WDesk reporting and dashboarding tools, executing data quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy of testing performed, aggregating and communicating test results and recommendations with stakeholders, and validating issue remediation
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to enhance, streamline, and automate controls testing program management processes
  • Assist with performing risk assessments of regulatory reporting and QA engagement planning, including communication of the rationale for scoping decisions
  • Assist with performing transaction level procedures, including, but not limited to, identifying and defining issues, reviewing and analyzing evidence, documenting target area processes and procedures, and recommending remediation
  • Assist with preparation of written reports and oral presentations to communicate identified issues and recommended remediation actions
  • Develop and maintain high level of knowledge around financial and regulatory reporting compliance and risk management
  • Develop understanding of the broader context of implication of regulatory reporting risks affecting the company
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with other lines of business and senior management to improve overall quality of regulatory reporting
  • Ability to organize and present data in a meaningful way, including analyzing and summarizing detailed information from various sources
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to liaise with and influence senior subject matter experts
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a team and to collaborate with peers and leadership to create effective solutions to validation issues
  • Ability to create and manage detailed project plans including managing interdependencies
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with technology to implement automation to drive process efficiencies

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year Accounting, Finance, or Audit experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant License (CPA)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 2 years of Accounting, Finance, or audit experience within the financial services industry
  • At least 2 years of experience in a role supporting a finance or reporting function
