Come make a difference and have fun while doing it! We’re looking for dedicated individuals who enjoy working with kids to “lead the PAC” this summer! Rec-PAC, affiliated with the Fairfax County Park Authority, is hosting virtual interviews and in-person open hires to fill more than 200 summer jobs.

Rec-PAC is hiring Camp Counselors, Camp Directors and Area Supervisors. Pay is competitive, and below are the pay rates for new and experienced Rec-PAC staff. Full position descriptions, list of job duties, and qualifications can be found at the Rec-PAC website .

  • Rec-PAC Leader/Camp Counselor $13/hr. (1st year) $14/hr. (2nd year or has college degree) $15/hr. (3rd year or is a teacher)
  • Camp Director $16/hr. (1st year) $17/hr. (2nd year or has college degree) $18/hr. (3rd year or is a teacher)
  • Area Supervisor $19/hr. (1st year) $20/hr. (2nd year or is a teacher) $21/hr. (3rd year)

  • Friday, June 10, 2022, anytime between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Providence Rec Center
Job seekers attending an in-person open hire will have the opportunity to interview, and if offered a position, complete hire paperwork. To complete hire paperwork, please bring your banking information (routing number and account number) to enroll in direct deposit, original Social Security card AND an unexpired photo ID (Such as driver’s license/permit, passport, military ID or school ID). Copies will not be accepted. Prospective employees will also be required to provide proof of vaccination.

Providence Rec Center is located at 7525 Marc Drive, Falls Church, Virginia. Hutchison Elementary School is located at 13209 Parcher Ave., Herndon, Virginia.

Please note: All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption before their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. New employees who obtain an exemption from the vaccine mandate for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs will still be subject to the weekly testing requirement. Vaccinated employees and employees with a medical or religious exemption will complete the attestation online on their first day of employment or shortly thereafter.
