Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.
Westat has a new opportunity available for a Finance Implementation Project Manager, reporting directly to the CFO. You are a service-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in managing complex projects or corporate initiatives and will use your knowledge of Corporate Finance departments in this role. Your responsibilities will include administrating and overseeing implementation and integration of corporate finance initiatives, to help improve financial operating processes across the organization.

This position is remote eligible and can be based anywhere in the United States. We do ask that you align with our core east coast hours of 10 am-4pm EST.

Job Responsibilities:
    ·Oversees and supports multiple projects, and/or corporate financial or service area initiatives
    ·Serves as primary point of contact and advocates for the initiative during the implementation phase
    ·Develops timelines and implementation plan to ensure implementation is completed on time, within budget and meets the expectation
    ·Manages implementation activities and works collaboratively within a team
    ·Sets and resets expectations with internal and external stakeholders
    ·Establishes and documents business rules in support of business objectives
    ·Tracks and monitors tasks and activities, identifies implementation opportunities, anticipates potential obstacles, and finds solutions
    ·Works collaboratively to formulate and develop communication plans of action, throughout implementation, across the company   

Basic Qualifications:
    ·Bachelor's Degree and 10 years or experience managing complex systems, projects, or corporate initiatives 
    ·Experience working in a large organization with multiple autonomous service groups and functional areas
    ·Experience managing cross organizational teams and change efforts

Preferred Qualifications:
    ·PMP certification and/or change management certification or designation desired 
    ·Financial operations experience
    ·Mid-to-large size organizational experience
    ·Government contracting experience

Skills:  
    ·Service-oriented individual with effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
    ·Strong knowledge and background in project management methodologies
    ·Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
    ·Skilled in building positive team relationships and delivering excellent customer service (internal and external)
    ·Ability to adapt to changes in project scope and varying deliverables
    ·Ability to explain and understand complex business concepts
    ·Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    ·Resourceful can-do attitude with creative problem-solving ability
    ·Consultative approach with a solutions-oriented mindset
    ·Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate experience in the use of Microsoft Excel
    ·Lead change management to support adoption of the change required by the initiative
    ·Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization
