The Washington Post is looking for a dynamic Marketing Operations Manager to serve as the vital hub of its growing consumer brand and creative shop. The Marketing Operations Manager will help set priorities and govern workflow for all brand and consumer marketing projects to ensure that, above all else, the team focuses on the most important things.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and manage the team and timelines for multiple creative and brand marketing projects simultaneously by building program schedules, forecasting hours for creative development, and coordinating with different teams.
- Lead the marketing team to achieve goals in an innovative, creative, and collaborative environment by serving as the primary conduit between internal stakeholders and the brand marketing and creative teams. Communicate plans and methodology on a regular cadence.
- Manage stakeholders in leadership, Subscriptions, Newsroom and Product by understanding and communicating workloads and timelines for the creative and brand marketing teams.
- Drive teams to produce high quality client deliverables within established timelines by assisting in writing creative briefs, developing presentations, maintaining campaign matrixes as needed, reviewing all art file updates and html for accuracy, reporting on number of rounds and schedules, and supporting the creative team on a variety of administrative duties.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes that are inefficient by proactively evaluating, recommending, and implementing opportunities to innovate.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in account, project, or program management at a marketing, consulting or tech firm
- Bachelor's Degree required
- PMP certification preferred
- Proven project management skills, including strong attention to detail and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
- Agile in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello and Asana
- Deadline-driven, eminently organized, and savvy in project management systems and processes
- Attention to detail
- Experience with design thinking processes preferred
