Job Summary: 
Westat has an immediate opening for a project manager to work on a variety of tobacco research projects, including, but not limited to, the NIH and FDA funded Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study.  This person will join our behavioral health and health policy practice area to work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers focused on tobacco regulatory science and tobacco prevention and control research, as well as other related areas of public health.  This position is remote eligible. 

Job Responsibilities: 
•    Collaborating with the project management team on various client requests, cost management and contract administration tasks.
•    Tracking and coordinating the status of deliverables and other work products. 
•    Collaborating on the creation and implementation of procedures for maintaining project records, standard operating procedures, templates and other project artifacts.
•    Writing progress reports, technical reports and memos, in whole or in part.
•    Synthesizing meeting discussions and documenting decisions made.
•    Collaborating on grant and contract proposals. 

Basic qualifications: 
•    A Bachelor's degree in public health, business administration, psychology, sociology, economics, or a related science or administration field.  
•    At least 5 years of demonstrated experience administering, coordinating or managing scientific research projects.
•    Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
OR 
•    A Master's degree in public health, business administration, psychology, sociology, economics, or a related science or administration field. 
•    At least 3 years of demonstrated experience administering, coordinating or managing scientific research projects.
•    Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

Minimum Qualifications: 
•    The successful candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative while also working as part of a team.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential.
