Customer Success Project Manager (Manager)

As a Manager Project Manager with the Customer Success team at Capital One, you will help to shape a new SaaS strategy to deliver key initiatives for our Card business. We are building a new world class organization that will work horizontally across many platforms, with project management at the interface between our internal business units and our technology partners.

As a member of the Customer Success team, you will work with smart and passionate business owners, product managers, technologists, and agilists to deliver results that have a significant impact on the company's bottom line.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Leading moderate to large, complex, cross-functional projects in close collaboration with business, product and platform partners
  • Engaging to understand the problem domain, business priorities and big picture implications related to owned initiatives
  • Establishing a project framework to drive clarity and coordination across platforms in a complex dynamic environment
  • Advocating for quality and auditability of deliverables to ensure well-managed results
  • Partnering with Operations and ensuring projects are managed with awareness of risk mitigation
  • Maintaining a strong internal customer focus, and driving visibility to stakeholders and leadership
  • Leveraging outstanding influence and communication skills to build relationships across impacted groups, from performer to senior leadership levels
  • Partnering within the Customer Success team to provide strategic and tactical thought leadership to effectively drive project/program delivery
  • Bringing a passion for coaching and developing junior associates on their project/program management journey


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 2 years in a cross-functional, Agile-driven project environment
  • At least 1 year of People Management experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters / MBA degree
  • Computer Science degree or experience working with technical teams in an AWS or microservices engineering environment
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience
  • 3+ years in a cross-functional, Agile-driven project environment
  • 2+ years of People Management experience
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
